Who will bring 6G to the world first? At the moment it has become a big question for countries like the US and China as well as around the world. If you live in India and you have a smartphone, you are most likely never experiencing 5G. It is because it is not yet available to the public. Like India, there are many nations where 5G is either not available or under development for the general public. But away from this disparity, there is a war between the two powerful countries over 6G. Futuristic, next-generation telecommunications technology still remains on paper but has not prevented the US and China from engaging in geopolitical battles that will make the world a winner for 6G deployment.

The ongoing high-stakes program in the U.S. and China will require both countries to direct their resources so that it becomes an important war. The first country to patent and develop 6G technologies will win – something that is believed to allow the nation to lead the next industrial revolution. 6G is going to be almost 100 times more advanced than what 5G can offer at its peak. And it will take no less than 10 years to develop 6G, as the kind of technology it will have will show you in science fiction films, such as real-time holograms, flying cars with advanced telecommunications systems, and cloud-based, neural minds.

The US has already kept its plans in motion, even though they are nothing more than just being in theory. The Alliance for Telecom Industry Solutions, a US-based telecom standards organization called ATIS, launched back in October to bring the next G Alliance "North American leadership in 6G". The alliance includes members such as Apple, AT&T, Qualcomm, Google and Samsung. Huawei, which is in the range of 5G push globally, was abandoned. But China is taking advantage of this situation to show how powerful it can be.

In November, China launched a satellite to test the airwaves for 6G transmission, while Huawei opened the 6G Research and Development Center in Canada, the BloombergQuant report reported, citing Canadian media. However, it's unclear how the North American leadership in the 6G deployment will consider Huawei's investments in Canada, which is the continent's second most important country. Another telecommunications behemoth ZTE Corp. to work on 6G development. has partnered with China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd.
