Leading social media giant Twitter has announced that it will resume the public verification process or the Blue Badge process that it stopped three years ago. It has decided to restart the process, which was halted three years ago due to controversy over the verification of Twitter accounts over the past few years. In addition, Twitter has asked people to share their valuable views on the Blue Badge process that they will be re-launching. On this, Twitter officially announced, "Requesting feedback from the public to provide better services to users is an important part of our policy. Because our policies reflect the voice of the people." Said. "If you also want to tweet your opinion on public verification, post it on Twitter using the hashtag #VerificationFeedback. The public feedback reception, which began on November 24, will continue until December 8, Twitter said.
Many feel that the Blue Badge public verification process followed by Twitter is arbitrary and confusing. The public verification program was halted at the time due to criticism. However, the company recently stated in its drafts policy that it would identify six types of accounts as notable accounts. As part of this, the government will award the Blue Verified badge to companies, brands, sports, entertainment news writing journalists or managers, influential people, politicians and celebrities under the category of non-profit organizations. However, Blue Badge clarifies that the user account must always be active in order to be recognized. Twitter, meanwhile, wants to remove the blue badge for accounts that are currently inactive and have an incomplete profile. Along with this it hopes to significantly expand the Blue Badge verification categories next year. The draft verification policy, which will be launched on December 17, will be available in English, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese, Twitter said.
