Aadhaar biometric locking process is as follows:

• First, login to MyAadhaar portal https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ through Aadhaar number and OTP.
• Click on the Lock/Unlock Biometric option that appears on the screen.
• It will explain how Lock and Unlock can be useful for you. Click on Next option that appears on that page.
• Immediately please select to lock will open. Tick the terms box below and click on Next.
• Your Biometric Have Been Locked Successfully will be displayed on the screen. The Lock/Unlock biometric option will appear in red. That's it.. Aadhaar biometric is locked.

The biometric unlocking process is as follows:

• When first logging into MyAadhaar portal.. Lock/Unlock Biometric option will appear in red color. If this means your biometric is locked.
• For unlocking, follow the above method. In this, when you tick the Please Select To Lock terms box, two options will appear.
• It will ask if your biometric unlock is temporary or permanent. You can choose the option you want.
• Select and click on Next option.
• Once clicked.. Your Biometrics Have Been Unlocked Successfully will appear on the screen.
• Selecting the temporary unlock option will unlock your biometric for just 10 minutes. You can choose the permanently unlock option and lock again after your work is done.
