Here are the 15 precautions the government has suggested in cyber crime.

- If you log into your bank online accounts, do not leave them as they are. Log out.
- Do not connect your USB or hard disk to public computers.
- Do not open files with extensions like .bat, .cmd, .exe at all.
- Do not tell anyone your passwords.
- Do not forward any information you receive to anyone without verifying it.
- Do not create fake profiles on social networking sites.
- Do not post information about your friends in your social networking accounts.
- Make sure your bank account password is strong. Keep changing it from time to time.
- Carefully read the privacy settings on social networking sites.
- Do not post digital information about yourself anywhere.
- Do not give access to your personal computer to anyone.
- Inform your support team immediately if your account information is hacked or stolen.
- Use only certified open source or licensed software.
- Change the settings so that your anti-virus software and operating system are updated automatically.
