India Post Payments Bank launches digital payment app

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the DakPay app, saying that DakPay is another addition to the Indian postal heritage. The minister said its services would reach every household in the country, besides accessing banking services and postal products online, and people could also avail postal financial services from home. The post office, which has 55,000 post offices in the country (1,35,000 post offices in rural areas) and 3 lakh staff, is expected to be more accessible to the public through DakPay.
