This feature is especially useful when you are going to a new place, such a better option would be to save a map of that location on your phone beforehand.
For this you have to follow some steps…
- Open Google Maps application in your smartphone device.
- Now click on your profile picture in the top left and select Offline Maps.
- Now go to Select your own map and select the location you want to visit.
- After that the map of that location will be downloaded. Later it can be accessed offline.
The special thing is that due to this feature of Google Map, there is no problem about storage space to save a location offline. Offline maps are stored in the app. In such a situation, to use GPS without internet, it is necessary to have a map store in your smartphone. Apart from this, as soon as your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, store location maps are automatically updated.
