Both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store set new records in 2020 as they spent more money on mobile apps and games. Apple devices dominate the app's revenue, with 65 cents per dollar going to Apple devices. Google Play Store's app revenue also increased by 30%. IPhone users are increasingly using social networking apps along with games, photo and video apps. Also, Android smartphone users are naturally increasingly using social apps such as games and entertainment. - The most popular dating app Tinder tops all the list. This app allows users to go through user profiles to find Potencell matches.
- Chinese video sharing social networking service app TikTok ranks 2nd on this list. Allows users to make 15 seconds of videos in dub smash form and share them on social media. However, TikTok has banned the app in India. It was removed due to leaks of users' personal contents.
- The YouTube app on the Google-owned video platform ranks third on the list. It is currently pre-installed on all types of smartphones and iPhones.
- Disney's newly launched Disney + app ranks fourth on the list of its streaming services. It features content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. It is mostly used for young children.
- Chinese video streaming app Tencent Video App ranks fifth on this list. This app comes with a lot of content, movies, dramas and variety show content options. This app may not be known in India but it is widely used in China.
- The Netflix app, which provides the best video streaming services on the video platform worldwide, ranks 6th on this list.
