In Gmail, if we want to share an e-mail with others, we usually download the data and send it back to them or forward it to them. This process is not only a bit confusing but also consumes your time. But search engine giant Google has come up with a Gmail feature to solve this problem. This allows users to attach any number of e-mails without having to download the e-mail. With this new feature, users will be able to easily add e-mails as an attachment.
There are two types of methods in total. The e-mails we attach will be converted to a ".eml" file. Clicking on them will open a new window.
The first method:
- Open Gmail in your browser, log in using your username and password.
- Now in the inbox, click on the tick box next to the e-mails and select the e-mails you want to attach.
- Now click on the Compose button and drag all the selected mails into the e-mail compose box.
- Here all these e-mails turn into a simple attachment.
The second method:
- As in the first method, select the e-mails you want to share here as well
- After selecting e-mails, click on the Overflow (3-dot) menu above
- Now click on the ‘Forward Attachment’ button to attach the selected e-mails as an attachment.
If you want to add e-mails in reply-mail, click on the ‘Pop Out Reply’ box at the top right. A mailbox will open for you there. Drag the e-mails you want to forward, just like the methods above. This feature is currently only available for the desktop version. Mobiles are likely to get this feature in the future.
