Criticisms have been strong that for some time now, all the phones being released from Xiaomi have been the same. Take a look at Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro. Putting those three phones next to each other and saying the features will take a week to find any phone in any mode. Criticisms abound that the multiple choice question options are all the same.
But for the past two years, the One Series phone has been making its presence felt exclusively among the mobiles coming from Xiaomi. For the past two years Xiaomi has been releasing phones with stock Android feature as part of its A series. The pre-released Mi A1 clicked well, but there was a lot of criticism on last year's Mi A2. There are a number of issues with this, such as the lack of a headphone jack and the inability to increase storage. Xiaomi also admitted that the phone was not as successful as expected. It also said that those flaws will be overcome in later versions. More MI A3 came into the market. And let's see if Xiaomi keeps his word.
Design .. Changes marked ..
Its design is slightly more innovative than the latest Red M series phones released by Xiaomi. And it's much better than last year's A2. The first thing to note about the MI A3 is the slightly thinner design than before. With this small change in design the phone is much easier to use with one hand.
Since the Xiaomi Mi A3 is a smart phone as part of the Android One program brought by Google, Google has used the same color names and color options for this phone as it has given its Pixel phones in any color. Buyers have the opportunity to choose from a variety of colors, such as ‘Kind of Gray’, ‘Not just Blue’, and ‘More than White’. Reviewed here More than White Unit. It's really cool to watch. See for yourself if you do not believe. The holographic effect comes in handy when the light falls on the back panel.
And when it comes to build quality, this phone looks like a very expensive premium smartphone to look at. The phone has Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back. There are three cameras on the back as well. That's why Xiaomi has announced that the Mi A3 is the first phone in the world to have Triple Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Xiaomi has brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack taken on the MI A2 in this phone. In this phone the volume buttons and power button are on the right while the SIM card tray is on the left. At the top of the smartphone is an IR blaster to control electronic devices such as a TV. Below are the speakers and the USB Type-C port. Due to the triple camera design on the back, these cameras look a bit more beautiful than the MI A2.
Overall, the design of this phone is a bit more innovative than the rest of the phones, at an impressive level than the Mi A2.
Display .. Just OK ..
Xiaomi lost the plus points she had achieved in design. Instead of the LCD Full HD + display used in the MI A2, it has a Super AMOLED screen with HD + resolution. This made the colors appear more intense and had an effect on the text as well.
In the MI A3, Xiaomi offers a 6.08-inch display with a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. The edges on the top and bottom are slightly thicker than the edges on the side. Xiaomi has also introduced its in-display fingerprint sensor in the budget-friendly mobile MI A3. But unfortunately there seems to be a slight lag in unlocking the phone.
Xiaomi has further improved the way the phone display looks in sunlight than the A2. But the adaptive brightness feature on the phone is not working properly. It is better to turn it off.
Camera .. a little pain ..
On the back of the Xiaomi Mi A3 is a 48-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. It offers an 8-megapixel ultra wide camera with 118 degree field view, f / 2.2 aperture and a 2 megapixel depth lens camera for bokeh shots.
Like the other 48 megapixel cameras in the Xiaomi, the MI A3's main camera has a resolution of 48 megapixels, but still captures 12 megapixels. If you want to take photos with a capacity of 48 mega pixels, you have to turn on the corresponding mode yourself. It also includes the MI Camera app for phones running the MIUI operating system, although it runs on the stock Android operating system. So Red will have features like portrait, night mode, panorama that appear on your smart phones.
When it comes to image quality, if you like sharpness in a photo, the camera works well. The colors that come in the photos are slightly different than the real colors. Normal sunlight, light in the house .. In both cases, the photos came in the same way. In terms of color, the 8-megapixel ultra wide-lens photo is doing its part to make it look better, but the photos are not as good. It has an AMOLED HD + display so it is a good idea to use a laptop to see how the photos in it came to be.
When it comes to low light shots, this phone took some good shots but the photos did not come out so well due to lack of optical stabilization. If you turn on night mode, the image quality will increase a lot and you will only want to take photos at night.
Performance .. The operating system is the hero ..
This phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and Adreno 610 GPU. Those who want to buy have two options. The 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant is one while the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant is another. It also has a microSD card support option. This option is not available in MI A2.
MI A3 also does multi-tasking without any hassle. The phone did not warm up even though different apps were used interchangeably. The network also worked well. In the speaker, the noise from the 3.5mm headphone jack is audible.
Credit can be given to the stock Android operating system for this log-free performance. This mobile runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. You will not receive any unnecessary notifications. This does not mean that there are no errors in the software. You still get MI Community, MI Camera apps. Since they come under Android One, the Android OS updates for this phone will come for two years and the security updates for three years. The latest update to Android, the Android 10 software, has been released but there has been no news on when it will be available to MI A3 users.
It has pluses as well as minuses. MI A3 does not work as fast as Android One smartphone. The phone doesn't bother playing Pub G or Asphalt 9 with more graphics.
Battery .. a little more than one day ...
The Mi A3 battery capacity is 4,030 mAh. The phone has also been well updated in this section. Although this phone supports 18W fast charge, it only comes with a 10W charger along with the phone. If you want fast charging to work on this phone, you will need to purchase a smaller charger separately. It may take up to 2 hours for the phone to fully charge with the charger provided in the box.
As mentioned earlier, the MI A3 lasts a little over a day if you use the phone from medium to heavy. This includes web browsing, Instagram, watching Facebook, and watching videos on YouTube.
Don't stop if you want stock Android .. or think ..
It was released with many modifications to the pre-MI A3 version of the MI A2. The 3.5mm headphone jack and A2 have been criticized for lacking external storage capacity. In addition, there have been major changes in terms of design and camera performance. They play a major role in making MI A3 more affordable.
Looking at these features I can't say for sure buy this phone. The main problems are poor display experience, delayed fingerprint sensor performance, and poor camera performance in low light. The fierce competition in the price range of this phone makes MI A3 lose some buyers.
Along with the Mi A3, the Real Mi 5 also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. The A3 is priced at Rs 12,999 while the Real M5 is priced at Rs 9,999. The stock Android Experience, however, has a 48-megapixel rear camera that puts the A3 slightly ahead of the race. If you want a stock Android phone you can buy this phone without another thought. Otherwise it is a good idea to re-examine the market before buying this phone.
