Realme has recently launched its new 5G handset in India at an affordable price. Launched under the name Realme 8 5G, the first sales of the smartphone will start today, April 28 at 12 noon through Flipkart and Real.com. The affordable 5G smartphone was launched in India in March as an upgraded version of the Realmi 8, which was released in March along with the Realme 8 Pro. Available from Realme, the 5G handset is backed by technologies such as MediaTek Dimension 700 SoC and Dynamic RAM Expansion. Realme 8 5G Price, Availability Details
The Realme 8 5G smartphone is currently available in two different variants. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999 and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 16,999. It can be purchased in color options such as Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. Many offers can be availed on the first sale starting from 12PM this afternoon through Flipkart, Real.com and offline retailers.
Realme 8 5G Specifications
When it comes to the specifications of the Realme 8 5G phone, it has a dual SIM (nano) slot and runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0. The phone has a 6.5-inch Full-HD + display with 1,080x2,400 pixels, 20: 9 aspect ratio and 90HZ refresh rate. Its display not only has 600 nits peak brightness but also comes with dragon trail protection. It comes with MediaTek Dimension 700 SoC, ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It also has DRE technology that converts storage into virtual RAM for sensitive multi-tasking.
When it comes to the optics in the Realme 8 5G smartphone, the phone has a triple rear camera setup on the back. It is packed with a 48 megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor with f / 1.8 lens, f / 2.4 portrait lens with 2 megapixel monochrome sensor and 2 megapixel third sensor camera with f / 2.4 macro lens. The back camera setup comes bundled with software features like NightScope, 48M mode, Pro mode, AI scan and Super Macro. The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with f / 2.1 lens on the front for selfies and video chats. The front camera also has features like portrait, nightscape and timelapse.
The Realme 8 5G smartphone comes standard with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It supports expanding memory up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth V5.1, GPS / A-GPS and USB Type-C port. The on-board sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Finally this phone comes packed with dimensions of 162.5x74.8x8.5mm with a 5,000mAh large battery supported by 18W quick charge fast charging technology.
