Exclusive: Union Ministers Push for Vande Bharat Express Launch
The craze for Vande Bharat Express is increasing. These trains are already providing services between different cities of the country. These trains are creating records in terms of occupancy. Petitions are coming from many MPs to the Railway Department that they want semi-high speed trains that reach their destinations in a short time with state of the art facilities.
So far, 60 MPs belonging to the ruling and opposition parties have submitted petitions to the Railway Department, demanding that these trains be run by connecting their constituencies. In addition to many Union Ministers, most of them are Bharatiya Janata Party MPs and 14 opposition party MPs. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi demanded that Vande Bharat should be operated from Dharwad to Bengaluru. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia appealed to serve Gwalior.
Three from Congress, two from CPM, YCP, NCP, DMK, Samajwadi and JDU parties also demanded. There are Apna Dal and Shiv Sena MPs also want these trains to be allotted to them. Out of the 8 Vande Bharat Express trains introduced till January, the train on the Mumbai-Gandhinagar route has the highest occupancy of about 127 percent, while the Bilaspur-Nagpur train has the last position with 55 percent occupancy.
The Department of Railways has recently announced that the Vande Bharat trains running on the Secunderabad - Visakhapatnam route as well as the New Delhi - Varanasi route are registering 125.76% occupancy. On February 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two hundred Bharat trains on the same day from Mumbai. With this, the total number of these trains has increased to 10. Vande Bharat trains are in full demand there. Do not think with travelers.
Many MPs are appealing to the Center saying, Mahaprabho, run that train on our routes. It is noteworthy that there are Union Ministers and BJP MPs among them. With a maximum speed of 160 km, Vande Bharat is known as the semi-high speed rail in India. The MPs are appealing to the Central Railway Department saying that the people of their constituencies want Vande Bharat trains, even though the price of the ticket is high.. as they provide the latest facilities to be in the flight and get to the destination quickly. About 60 MPs from the Parliament have appealed to the Central Railway Department to run Vande Bharat trains on their routes.
They mentioned in the letter that Vande Bharat 2.0 was a super success. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia are among them. Besides many BJP MPs, there are 14 MPs from the opposition parties. On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis is also among those who appealed to the Railways. At present ten hundred Bharat trains are traveling on different routes across the country! Vande Bharat train is running between Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam in Telugu states.
