How to Translate Emails on Gmail Mobile App in Mobile
The new feature brought by Gmail is the translate option feature. This facility is already available in web Gmail version. This feature which has been introduced now can be used by iPhone users as well as Android users. Through this, Google has made an announcement providing the facility to translate the language in Gmail into other languages. From now on, just like web version Gmail users, the mobile Gmail app can translate the mails you receive from one language to about 100 languages. For example, if you receive any mail in Russian language, you can translate it into our language and get its gist. Through this feature, we will be able to protect ourselves from the clutches of cyber fraud mails.
How to use this feature in Gmail app
- First you need to open the Gmail app and select the email you want to translate.
- Then tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the email.
- Then select the translate option.
- Now the settings symbol will appear.
- Click on it and the Detect Language option will appear.
- Click on it and select the language in which you want the mail to be translated.
- That's it.. the email will be translated and will appear on the screen in the language of your choice.
Some things to keep in mind while you are using this feature..
Translate functionality is currently in beta. That means there may be some errors in the translated content.
Through this feature.. it is possible to translate only one email once.
If you receive multiple emails in a foreign language, you may need to translate them one by one.
Also, this new feature of Gmail is gradually becoming available to users. If you don't see the feature in the Gmail app, update the app.
