As part of the Phase 2 expansion, Ather Energy, India's first intelligent electric scooter maker, has announced the launch of the Ather 450X in Vijayawada. Pre-orders, dealership requests. Ather Energy has also added a new market to its Phase-2 expansion due to the large number of requests for test rides. By placing orders in January 2020 before the official launch of the new product, many in Vijayawada were eligible for the Limited Edition Series 1 vehicle. With the launch in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, Ather Energy is officially entering the Andhra Pradesh market.
By the end of Q1 2021, Ather 450X will be in Phase 1 - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Kozhikode with an additional 16 cities in Phase 2 - Mysore, Hubli, Jaipur, Indore, Panaji, Bhubaneswar, Available in 27 cities including Nashik, Surat, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Noida, Lucknow and Siliguri.
Ather will launch Q1 in 2021 in these cities in stages and will begin by setting up testrides to make clients feel about the vehicle. Ather has already begun locating locations to set up the fastest EV charging network, the Ather Grid, in collaboration with future retail partners in these markets. Of the 11 markets where Ather is available, more than 60 charging points have already been installed and more are coming soon. The 450X has been upgraded from its old Ather 450 and is one of the fastest and smartest scooters in India, and is available in Gray, Green and White. The scooter comes with a 6kW PMSM motor, a new 2.9 kWh lithium ion battery 4 riding models. In addition to Eco, Ride and Sport, Ather is introducing a new high performance mode, ‘Rap’. Ather 450X reaches 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds in rap mode, making it the fastest electric scooter in the category and the perfect choice for navigating city traffic. Ather 450X charges 50% faster than the previous rate of 1.5km per minute, making it an electric two wheel category.
The Ather 450X comes with a 4G SIM card and Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to answer phone calls and manage music on the touch screen dashboard. Comes with a new 7 ”touchscreen dashboard, 16M color depth and Snapdragon quad core processor. Ather 450X utilizes Android open source to provide other unique features such as map navigation, on-board diagnostics and over-the-air updates, auto indicator off and guide your home lights.

The aim of the ‘Breakthrough’ ad campaign is to launch Ather as a two wheeler cover that will reshape the near future of automobiles in India with its products and services. New TV commercials and advertisements can be viewed on Consumers, all major channels, Voting platforms and newspapers. The Ather mobile app also continues to provide personalized ride statistics, charging status, push navigation and theft and tow detection, live location and vehicle status tracking.
