Capgemini Good News for IT Employees
Capgemini, a leading French IT company, is set to hire a large number of employees in India this year. Capgemini CEO Ashwin Yardi said the company plans to hire about 30,000 IT employees in India by 2021. Freshers as well as veterans will also be given the opportunity. It will take the latest steps in developing digital skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, 5G, Cyber Security, Engineering, R&D. This is an increase of 25 per cent compared to last year. He said the huge demand for digital solutions in the wake of Covid-19 has improved their business opportunities.
Cloud business and digital solutions accounted for 65 per cent of Cap Gemini's revenue in the December quarter. He said he hopes the business will bounce back while recovering from the corona and make more appointments in the future in anticipation of achieving huge deals. In addition, in April 2020, they announced a pay rise even during the epidemic peak. With a total of 1,25,000 employees domestically, it carried out almost 24,000 recruitments in India last year.
