Sonalika launches country's first electric tractor The electric tractor is powered by a 25.5kW natural cooling compact battery, according to Sonalika Group CEO Raman Mittal. Its maintenance costs are said to be very low.

The electric tractor travels at a speed of 24.93 kilometers per hour and works for about eight hours on a single charge of the battery. It is said to offer a fast charging system that fully charges in just four hours. Mittal explained that the electric tractor was designed in Europe and made in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The electric tractor will be priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, according to Sonalika Tractors.
